Journalism Visibly b(v)logging

What comes into your mind when you say Online Journalism? For sure it is about writing online by following or basing your written materials in the Journalism Creed. Unfortunately it has something to do with that but as time passes you will identify that it is broad.

Let’s go and talk about blogging and vlogging because nowadays that was the most popular thing to do by many of us. Honestly it was my first time to have my own blog and at first I really don’t know on how am I going to start, what will be the content, and what are the things that I am going to talk about. You have to make a site first before you start and the site that you should use will make you comfortable to manipulate especially when it was your first time to do it. However, I enjoyed posting and writing in my blog and it is much preferred if the things that you are going to use are your own layout so that we can avoid plagiarism. Before most of my layouts are from the request of other people but now I do it for myself. Blogging can also be your alone time when you wish to give time to yourself, it is also a way of escape because in this world there were a huge of people who will criticize your work if you don’t give them concrete information and reliable sources. It can be a way to open the mind, eyes, and ears by many people because of the discourse that you are going to make.

On the other hand, if you have blogging there is also vlogging where in you put your words into a video one. If you are going to watch amateur vloggers in Youtube, you’re going to think that it is easy because they are just holding the camera, walking somewhere and just talking. Unfortunately it is not just like what you think, when it was my first time to do it. I have a lot of things in my mind to say but when I started to click the camera to record BOOM everything is gone. If you love vlogging you should also love editing because of the graphics that you might used, sound effects, background music, and other things that will make your vlog lovely to your subscribers. You also need a name call that will serve as your name calling to them, in vlogging there is also a transition even if you hold the camera effortlessly. When you vlog there is no room for ‘I feel shy’ type especially when you are outside and doing your vlog. Automatically that people will look at you and talk about you just like it was their first time to see a camera.

As I end my semester I will assure that this is not also the end for me to write, post and talk in front of the camera. B(v)logging is a hobby that you will love to do over and over again because you are hitting two birds in one shot, you love what you do and you open the mind, eyes, and ears of other people of what is the true thing in this world. You help them to be aware to realize the real lies that other people who surround them sugar coated it.
